RAM’s Wustum Museum is excited to proudly continue a beloved Racine tradition with the opening of Watercolor Wisconsin 2023. This annual statewide competition has been a fan-favorite since its inaugural exhibition in 1966 and is one of the museum’s most popular exhibitions. Now in its 57th year, Watercolor Wisconsin was started in 1966 to honor the depth and breadth of watercolor in the State of Wisconsin. This year’s exhibition at RAM’s Wustum Museum features 96 works by 80 Wisconsin artists.…

Not only did he reinvigorate salt and wood firing technique, but he was also a beloved figure who inspired numerous artists and collectors. This exhibition underscores RAM’s commitment to chronicling the career of Reitz, who spent 1962-88 living and working in Wisconsin while actively teaching as faculty at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
