Party on the Pavement

Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 17th and plan to spend your day downtown for the 19th annual Party on the Pavement street festival presented by the Downtown Racine Corporation. With over 12 blocks filled with live music, incredible food and drinks, street performances, shopping, games and rides, there is something for the whole family. The day’s festivities kick off at noon and run until 7:00 pm. Admission to the Party on the Pavement grounds is free, which takes place throughout downtown on Main Street from State Street to 7th Street, and all of 6th Street from Lake Avenue to City Hall.

If the thrill of over 15,000 attendees isn’t enough, the street performances slated for Party on the Pavement will surely get you excited. Division BMX Stunt Team will be soaring through the air on the corner of College Avenue and 6th Street. You can catch one of their shows at 12:30pm, 2:00pm, 4:00pm and 5:30pm. Hip-Hop and breakdance group, Sweatshop Movement, will host jaw dropping dance battles and performances throughout the day on the corner of Wisconsin Avenue and 6th Street.

Party on the Pavement has been a major destination for music lovers from all over Southeastern Wisconsin, and this year is no exception. Whether you are a fan of blues, rock ’n roll, jazz, R&B or everything in between, this year’s diverse lineup has something for everyone. With four stages of live music throughout downtown, you will be dancing through the streets all day long. Here is this year’s music lineup:


Zeigler Honda Stage – Monument Square

  • 2:30pm-4:30pm – Chicken Grease, R&B and Soul
  • 5:00pm-7:00pm- Rhythm Dogs, Blues


Main Street/State Street

  • 12:00pm-2:00pm – Mean Jake, Country Blues
  • 2:30pm-4:30pm  – Stone Theory, Rock & Blues
  • 5:00pm-7:00pm  – Identity Crisis, 80s/90s Rock & Blues


Indian Motorcycle of Racine Stage – 522 6th Street

  • 3:45pm-6:45pm – Weird Science
  • 7:30pm-10:30pm  – Duo Sonic


Taste of Soul Stage (7th and Park)

Indulge in an array of international cuisine from the downtown restaurants and food vendors lining both 6th and Main Streets. This is the perfect time to try something new with Spanish, Pakistani, Filipino, Italian, Korean, Thai, Japanese, Mexican, Irish, Jamaican and American cuisines available all day long. The aroma stimulating your taste buds will make it impossible to walk down the street without grabbing a bite from every stop, so make sure you come with an appetite.

Party on the Pavement has special attractions for all ages. Racine gymnastics will be tumbling down Sam Johnson Prky. Relive the glory days of automobiles at the Nash Car Club of America car show also on Sam Johnson Parkway next to the Johnson Building.

Prior to the event, participate in 5Kevents.org’s 2ns annual Pound the Pavement 5k! The run begins at Main St. and Sam Johnson Parkway promptly at 10am. Pre-register at: https://poundthepavement.5k.run/
