DOWNTOWN RACINE TO HOST “FIRST” FIRST FRIDAY OF 2023 WITH A CINCO DE MAYO THEME
Mark your calendars for Friday, May 5 from 4pm-9pm for Downtown Racine’s “First” First Friday OF 2023. After a long winter, all the merchants downtown are excited to have First Fridays returning.
“First Fridays has been a local favorite event and has won the Journal Times Best of Racine’s award for ‘Free Entertainment’ multiple years.” stated DRC executive director, Kelly Kruse. This year, First Fridays will be held every first Friday from May through December of 2023. New this year, each month will have a new, exciting theme!
May 5, First Friday, which lands on Cinco De Mayo, will be celebrating the Mexican holiday with free nacho and margarita samples throughout downtown along with Cinco “5” specials that will include $5 off, and 5-15% off throughout downtown at over 20 local retailers.
Monument Square will have a special live wrestling performance by Racine Wrestling at 5pm, and a full-size ring will be set up for this fun-filled, action-packed performance.
Live music will be playing at Brickhouse, The Ivanhoe, George’s Tavern, Marci’s on Main, Reefpoint Brew House, and Uncorkt
Free nacho samples will be available at Amos Los Tacos, Be Plush, The Maple Table and Marci’s on Main. Free margarita samples at Pub on Wisconsin, Amos Los Tacos, The Maple Table, Be Plush (N/A) and Marci’s on Main.
