August 1st First Friday

Brace yourselves for a nostalgic journey as First Fridays returns with a “Scoop the Loop” throwback theme on August 1st, from 4 pm to 9 pm. “Scoop the Loop” is inspired by an old tradition where teenagers would showcase their cars by cruising around a specific loop in Downtown Racine.

First Fridays, recently awarded the best retail event in the state by WEDC, brings thousands of community members and tourists together for a themed celebration each month. This 50s/60s-themed event will include a classic car show and throwback music on Monument Square.

Don’t miss the Cornhole Tournament on the north end of Monument Square. To register, email rac.baggers@gmail.com. The tournament features social and competitive divisions, with the option to bring your own bags or borrow a set from the tournament.

Live music will be pulsating throughout downtown at venues like The Nash, Brickhouse, The Ivanhoe, Marci’s on Main, Reefpoint Brew House, Chartroom, and Uncorkt.

Merchants, restaurants, and bars are not just opening doors; they’re rolling out the red carpet, curating a shopping and dining extravaganza that transcends the ordinary.

Parking is conveniently available at the Lake Avenue Ramp (300 Lake Avenue), Civic Centre Ramp (501 Lake Avenue), and the McMynn Ramp (120 7th Street) or Shoop (Main & State) for an all-day rate of only $3.50.
