Swingin’ Into Spring: A 1950s Prom Revival
April 18 @ 6:00 pm - 11:00 pm$10 – $650
On Saturday, April 18th, guests will be carried away to the 1950s with a fully immersive event including a 50/50 raffle, dinner, dancing and live music by the Jack Farina Big Band featuring the vocal stylings of Patte Lund – who will be spotlighting charts by Stan Kenton who performed at Racine’s first Post Prom in 1953! On display will be rarely seen artifacts from the Museum’s collection, including Hamilton Beach products, Wheary Luggage, High School yearbooks, historical prom dresses and more. Period dress is highly encouraged!
The night will also provide critical funds for the Racine Heritage Museum. This community event directly supports the care and preservation of Racine County’s unique and remarkable history and our work to bring that history to life through exhibits, educational programming, and outreach efforts.
Dinner options are Chicken Marsala or hand carved Eye of Beef Round. Meals for those with dietary restrictions (including gluten free) are available at special request.
The event is open to those who are age 21 and above with valid identification.
