Memories of the 50s and 60s

June 2 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Free

Carol Burow Gianforte and Jim Mercier will be the special guests of Photographic Design Gallery & Framing, 411 Sixth St. on First Friday, June 2nd. An evening of nostalgia awaits visitors as Carol and Jim present a “sneak preview” of their upcoming program at the Golden Rondelle Theater in early June, entitled “Summer in the City.” They will answer questions from 6-9 p.m. on First Friday about the subjects of their program; Kiddieland, Washington Park Pool, the 4th of July Parade and the Mid-City and Westgate outdoor theaters. Photographic Design will also be showing its own parade images as well as images of downtown Racine in the 70s taken by architect Robert Hartmann. Music will be provided by talented cellist Nolan Boerner. For an evening of nostalgia, stop by on First Friday, June 2nd, to meet Carol and Jim and to reminisce with images from the past. Photographic Design is open 11 to 9 on First Fridays. Regular hours are Fridays 11 to 5 and Saturdays 10 to 2 and by appointment. For an appointment or more information, please call 262-633-9899.
