First Fridays Music at First Lutheran Church

Please join us at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 728 Villa Street, on Friday, August 4, 2023 at 5:30pm for our final summer First Fridays event featuring Sara Makinen. Sara is a long-time organist for multiple churches (including First Evan!) in the Southeast Wisconsin/Northeast Illinois area. She is currently a teacher at St. John’s Lutheran School in Milwaukee and a graduate of Martin Luther College with an emphasis in music. The organ is her favorite instrument because of the expressiveness in the variety of tones. She will perform Mendelsohn as well as the crowd favorites – hymn-tune preludes and hymns involving the audience from throughout the church year. Bring a friend and feel free to leave your vehicle in our parking lot as you visit downtown afterward!
