DESCRIPTION:Choral Arts Society Announces Auditions for Spring 2025  \n(Racine\, Wisconsin\, December 30\, 2024) The Choral Arts Society of Southeastern Wisconsin (CAS) invites adult singers to audition for its Spring 2025 concert by appointment on Tuesday\, January 28\, 2025\, from 6:30PM to 9:30PM at First Presbyterian Church\, 716 College Avenue\, Racine. If you would like to sing great music with friendly people\, please contact Marie Sorensen\, CAS Audition Coordinator\, at (262) 639-2694 for an appointment.   \nRehearsals are held at First Presbyterian on Tuesday evenings from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. from late August through May.  \nAuditions include warm-ups and vocalizing to determine voice range and timbre\, a sight-reading exercise and/or literature reading\, and one brief solo to be prepared in advance. Please provide a copy of your solo for the accompanist. This season’s Spring concert will be Say It With Music – The Great American Songbook on Saturday\, April 12\, 2025 at 7PM.  \nThe Choral Arts Society celebrates the human spirit through choral music. In an atmosphere of fellowship and collaboration\, the CAS fosters creative talents of musicians and composers. The CAS partners with others who share our passion for artistic excellence.  \nThis season is funded in part by a grant from the Green Bay Packers Foundation\, a grant from the Racine Community Foundation\, and a grant from the Wisconsin Arts Board with funds from the State of Wisconsin and the National Endowment for the Arts.
